Job Responsibilities:
The Design Verification Specialist (DVS) plays a critical role in the success of Synopsys customers as they design ASICs which push the limits of complexity, time to market and silicon technology. By enabling adoption of Synopsys verification products and leading-edge methodologies (flows), the DVS brings tangible and lasting improvements in performance, cost, quality, and development time for these ASICs. DVSs work with customers to solve complex technical challenges. Customer support roles include training, problem resolution, methodology guidance, and technical account management. DVSs are expected to manage multiple customer issues concurrently and be very effective at interacting with customers, not only design engineers, but first or second level management as well. DVSs align with Sales to exceed quota as they proactively manage customer accounts to success. Sales support roles include product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive benchmarking. DVSs play an active role in account planning, working as part of the account team to develop solutions to customer problems based on their insight into the customers needs and issues. DVSs are part of an AC team managed by the Technical Manager. They are expected to leverage their knowledge and experience in the verification design process to the rest of the AC team. They also provide technical feedback to Synopsys product development teams pertaining to critical issues and recommended enhancements.The Design Verification Specialist will be expected to take advantage of opportunities provided to improve technical and job related skills; such as developing additional product breadth and leadership skills. This position can be based in Beijing.
Job Requirements:
MSEE (or equivalent) required with 3+ years design experience or BSEE (or equivalent) with 5+ years design experience. Design experience should include ASIC design with experience using verification tools. Deep understanding of design methodologies is required, with emphasis placed on industry-standard hardware description languages (Verilog/SystemVerilog). Synopsys tool (VCS-MX, Vera & Magellan) and Verification IP experience is desired, but not required. Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills are required. Customer sensitivity, the ability to multiplex many issues & set priorities and have a helpful/caring attitude towards customers, and the desire to help customers exploit new technologies are essential for success in the position.
